About Us
Adam Diaz had always wanted to start his own business and it wasn’t till he graduated with a business degree in Computer Information Systems and found himself sitting in a cubical administering databases, that he realized horticulture was his true passion. His vision was to start a local organic nursery in South Austin. In 2004, with the help of his business partner (and mom), he started PlantEscape Gardens. Over the next 5 years, they worked tirelessly to grow it into a beautiful and well-known organic neighborhood nursery. Adam recently became sole owner of PlantEscape Gardens, which continues to thrive as a local nursery and gathering spot.
Stonecrop Design grew out of PlantEscape Gardens, which had seen an increase in landscaping and maintenance business over the years. Adam manages both businesses with the help of his able crew and employees.
